In November we will be heading back to the States for our furlough, and this will be our first time back in the states after being here for three years! Our furlough will be for about 4-6 months and after that time we will be heading back for our second term to somewhere in Africa:-) As many of you know from our February prayer letter, we are in the process of seeing where God is going to lead us to serve Him for our next term.

Early tomorrow morning Troy, Hope and I will head to a town that is three hours north of Nakuru called Eldoret. We will be checking out a ministry opportunity that we heard of from our good friends (Lydia and Travis) who live in Nakuru. We don’t know much about the ministry, but what we do know is that Troy will be working with the students who just have graduated high school (after students in Kenya graduate high school they have 18months wait to start University). So there is a ministry starting that will work with this group of in-betweeners on a dairy/poultry farm while discipling them.

That is what we know as of now. We are very excited to go tomorrow to learn more about the details, see the town and {hopefully} have an idea if this is where God is leading us. Please be in prayer for us in the next few days. We will come home late Tuesday night. Dakota and Kate will stay with Lydia and Travis.

Please pray for our safety as we travel to and from.
Pray that we will be an encouragement to the people we meet in Eldoret.
Please pray for Dakota and Kate that they will be a blessing (not a burden) to Lydia and Travis.
Pray for Hope that she will have easy days with mom and dad while we are in meetings and such.
Pray we will hear God and if this is where is wants us or not.

Many Blessings!

I follow all of your postings on WordPress and enjoy hearing the stories of your work and experiences there. I was hoping to find time to stop in Nakuru while our CVM team was recently serving in the Kisii area but things didn’t work out. I write to you also because I recenlyy received an e-mail from Fred Van Gorkom about a retired poultry veterinarian who has offered his services to us with our work with small chicken projects. I thought he might be of us to you as well in this project you are visiting in Eldoret. Blessings to you on your trip north.

  3. Hello

What a blessing your messages, updates, and stories have been to me. The time has gone very fast! I will look forward to seeing you during your time in the USA. I pray that God will lead you to your next ministry: One that will bear much fruit, be safe for the girls, build lots of friendships, and should His bright light through your shining faces. I know you will be a blessing wherever He plants you! And I know you will bloom where you are planted! You shall continue to be in my thoughts and prayers, with much love!

  4. We were visiting this past weekend and came to the Pastor/Elder meeting on Saturday evening to meet up with the Fugler’s. Everyone was mingling, and I think I saw you guys. Sorry I didn’t get a chance to say hi, but since we moved, too, everyone kept coming up to us to say hi. I missed a few people that I saw, but it’s good to see you home and pray this week at Grace is a good time, that you get rest (in between all the meetings? haha), and that you gain some more supporters. I also just changed my email address and I guess I need to resubscribe to your updates, which I will do. If you’re here this next weekend, I’ll try to say hi if you’re still around. We wanted to catch up with people we don’t see anymore since we moved 3 years ago. It’s good to get up to Grace every once in awhile. God bless you.
